Differences in Treatment
THE QFL SALUTS THE POSITION TAKEN BY THE LIBERAL PARTY, WHO IS NOW AGAINST DIFFERENCES IN TREATMENT
The FTQ is pleased to see that the movement on the abolition of difference in treatment or orphan clauses is beginning to make its way towards the government of Quebec, set by a motion adopted by the youth wing of the Liberal Party during a convention.
Orphan Clauses discriminate against workers within the same company, giving them different working conditions, based on the date on which they were hired. These conditions are usually not as favorable, and create tension between members.
